KATHMANDU, May 24: The Kanti Highway road connecting Hetauda and Kathmandu has been blocked since last night.
According to Shyamu Aryal, spokesperson of the Makwanpur District Police Office, the road became completely blocked after the gravel and soil deposited beside the Bagmati Bridge that connects Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8 in Makwanpur and Bagmati Rural Municipality-2 in Lalitpur was further swept away by floods following heavy rainfall.
