Kanchanpur to mark Baishakh as vaccination month

JHALARI, Kanchanpur, April 14: The district public health office, Kanchanpur, has decided to celebrate the month of Baishakh as the month of vaccination to motivate people to take timely vaccination and vaccinate their kids on time so as to lower maternal and child mortality rates.



During the month, several vaccines would be administered to kids who had missed regular vaccinations. Vaccines like measles, TT, encephalitis, Hepatitis B, polio and Vitamin A would be administered during the campaign.



The campaign will be launched in all 19 VDCs and one municipality of the district. The campaign is expected to benefit 14,360 kids below 14. Pregnant women will be administered TT vaccination during the month. All logistics including vaccines and equipment have been arranged for the campaign, the office said.
