Kalika gives heavy equipment to NA

KATHMANDU, May 10: Kalika Construction on Sunday handed over four excavators and four backhoe loaders to the government to use them on reconstruction works for the next three months.

Bikram Pandey, lawmaker and chairman of the company, handed over the equipment to Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat. Nepal Army will use the equipment for reconstruction of structures damaged by the earthquake and also to clear debris.


Issuing a statement, the company said the heavy earthmovers will also be useful to manage debris of the damaged buildings properly. The government started clearing debris of the damaged buildings and settlements from Saturday.
