KATHMANDU, Sept 24: When you have celebrations and parties, there are lots of moments that you want to remain with you forever. You would definitely don’t want to miss moments of festive occasions like Dashain. What better ways to keep those memories alive than cameras? [break]

Technology has come a long way since the days of ‘automatic’ reel cameras that were in vogue here some five years ago. These days you not only see the results instantly, but also get program modes that almost guarantee a good picture even you it is dark, your hands are shaking or your eyes are blurred out. Face, smile and subject detection, stabilizer for shaky hands; red-eye remover and a load of other built-in functions and programs packed into even the basic models make sure that you now have to be just conscious enough to be able to press down the button.

Keeping in view how much people might want to capture the festive moments, myrepublica.com presents your entry-level models of major brands available in Nepal. With these models, all you need to do is just point and shoot.

Cameras from Canon are distributed in Nepal by Primax International. “Canon has the lowest noise among all compact cameras here. Him Electronics, which distributes Samsung cameras in local market, is offering a ‘stylish’ leather carrying case and a 2 GB memory card for free.
