According to sources in the Delhi Police’s Special Cell, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has reportedly confessed to the police that he purchased a RK Spring rifle for Rs 4 lakh to shoot Salman Khan in 2018 for the reason of blackbuck poaching amid the film making of 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' in Jodhpur,Rajasthan.

The report further stated that the rifle was purchased from co-villager Dinesh Dagar of Sampat Nehra, a member of Bishnoi's gang who was ordered to kill Salman Khan.
Earlier, Delhi Police disclosed that Bishnoi had claimed that his community will never forgive Salman Khan for killing a blackbuck. He also added that he would only reconsider his decision if Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan apologized to the Bishnoi community publicly.
During interrogation, Bishnoi stated that since they consider the blackbuck to be the reincarnation of their religious guru, Lord Jambeshwar, punishment from the court of law will not be the last verdict for Khan.
Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is currently being questioned in connection to the murder of popular singer Sidhu Moosewala. Furthermore, last month three members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang delivered a letter threatening Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan.
