‘Junkiri’: A reflection of society

KATHMANDU, Sept 12: Drama 'Junkiri' is being showcased at Rastriya Nach Ghar, Jamal since Monday. The drama is a presentation of Lotus School of Photography and Videograpy that depicts the realistic aspect of our society, according to the press statement released by the organizer.

KATHMANDU, Sept 12: Drama 'Junkiri' is being showcased at Rastriya Nach Ghar, Jamal since Monday. The drama is a presentation of Lotus School of Photography and Videograpy that depicts the realistic aspect of our society, according to the press statement released by the organizer.


The drama is being organized by Swetashree Foundation. Proceed from the show will be used in a project to develop the Majhi community, the statement read. The drama is written, directed and played by Nani Thapa. The story revolves around how an innocent and naive girl turns into a high profile call girl.

According to the press statement, the character Junkiri depicts the need of woman empowerment in our society. The drama also symbolically presents how a person shines after going through rough times in life. 


The drama is slated to continue till September 21.
