JSPA election

KATHMANDU, July 2: The election for the post of president and vice-president of Journalists´ Society for Parliamentary Affairs (JSPA) on Friday ended in a tie.



Two contestants for the post of president -- Prakash Giri and Khagendra Panta -- secured 64 votes. Similarly, both the candidates for the post of vice president -- Matrika Poudel and Madhav Dulal -- secured 42 votes each. Likewise, candidates for the JSPA members Ashok Dahal and Hem Raj Khadka secured 65 votes each.



Meanwhile, Sushil Panta and Kamal Pariyar have been elected general secretary and secretary respectively. While Babin Sharma has been elected treasurer, Santa Gaha Magar, Sanjeev Bagale, Bom Lal Giri, Ishwori Subedi and Bhaswor Ojha have been elected as members of the body.
