KATHMANDU, Feb 28: The probe committee formed by the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal is preparing to submit its final report.
It is said that the report prepared after investigating the allegations of meddling in the election to the members of the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies is almost ready to submit to the party's top leadership.
Parliamentary probe committee to submit its report today
The meeting of the political committee held last December had entrusted the investigation committee headed by the executive committee member Shivlal Thapa to submit the report by the end of January. The probe committee was asked to investigate the central level leaders accused of meddling in the election.
But according to the request of the committee, the deadline to complete the task was extended till February 27.
Purna Basnet, head of the Publicity Department of the party, said that the committee is about to complete its work and submit its report. It is said that Saptari-2 had the highest number of such incidents and the committee interrogated 38 people allegedly involved in betraying the party during the election.
