“I am the only Bankariya to be selected for temporary police job. My happiness knows no bounds,” exclaimed he, after the District Police Office (DPO) in Makwanpur district provided him an appointment letter of temporary police Monday.
According to him, he is very happy because this is the first time he has ever received a job appointment letter. The forty-year-old was seen scrutinizing the letter on the DPO premises.
He said he had never thought that he would get the job. “Things happened out of the blue. I am still unable to believe that I will be providing security during a historic event like the Constituent Assembly election,” said he. He had to stand in a queue for almost five hours to receive the letter.
Two persons from the Bankariya community had applied for temporary police jobs. Another candidate was Jurjumaan Bankariya, who was not so lucky.
The DPO has deployed him along with other 688 others, who will be deployed for poll security in Chitwan.
All the selected candidates in the district were provided with the appointment letters on Sunday and Monday. The DPO will be giving a two-week orientation and training to all of them in Hetauda before sending them to Chitwan.
Dhobe, a father of eight children, says he will perform his duties assigned by the government diligently.
