KATHMANDU, Nov 6: Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has said that the death of journalist Sanjaya Neupane has resulted in an irreparable loss to Nepali journalism.
“Nepali journalism has suffered an irreparable loss due to Neupane’s death. FNJ extends tribute to the deceased and condolences to the bereaved family,” FNJ said in the statement.
Journalist Neupane died on Saturday evening. He was 45. Neupane was suffering from brain tumor and died in the course of treatment at Lalitpur-based Nepal Cancer Hospital.
He was former Vice President of Society of Economic Journalists of Nepal (SEJON). He also served as the editor of the Karobar National Daily as well as worked for the Kantipur Daily.
He is survived by a wife, a daughter and a son.
