Concluding a 10-day journalism training organized by the National Press Club on Monday, Minister Belbase said act of spreading terror in the society sometimes by journalism in the name of making the people well-informed and pointed out that the journalism should be made impartial and responsible.[break]
Saying that role of journalism will be important as the country is in the stage of change and development, he urged media persons and media houses to do healthy journalism for the welfare of the people and the country.
On the occasion, Chief trainer at the International Journalists´ Training Institute, German, Peter Mele, said future of journalism is bright in Nepal as Nepalese journalists are hardworking and honest.
Chairman of the National Press Club, Ramkrishna Karmacharya said that bodies concerned should be serious to the journalism sector saying there is no situation of doing journalism in fearless environment in the country due to various problems.
During the training, Mele gave orientation to Nepalese journalists about experience of risky journalism of conflict-hit countries and its art.
A total of 18 representatives of different media houses were present in the training. On the occasion, Minister Belbase distributed certificates to the participating journalists.
