KATHMANDU, Oct 12: ‘Journalism & Journeys’, a book written by Anand Gurung, associate editor at Nepalnews.com, was released at Nepal Tourism Board on Friday. The book is a collection of Gurung’s travel experiences from Mechi to Mahakali and Darjeeling. It contains six chapters and 19 articles and was published by Vajra Publications.

“I really hope my book will speak on my behalf, speak about my experiences and ideas. This book also shows how beautiful our country is and, at the same time, it is entertaining and enjoyable,” shared Anand.[break]

Dr Tara Nath Sharma, a litterateur and travel writer, and D B Gurung, a poet and novelist, were invited as the chief guests in the event.

“Everyone should read this book because it is about our nation today. And I think that to be a travel writer, one needs to be a journalist first because only a journalist can write with simplicity, perfection and report the truth,” said Dr Sharma.
