The NC and UML cadres accused Maoist cadres of killing NC Mahasamiti member Hamal in Dhapa VDC-9 in the district. In a joint protest meeting following the rally, NC leader Dina Bandhu Shrestha and UML leaders strongly condemned the Maoists for killing Hamal.
The protestors chanted slogans against the Maoists. Although Hamal´s relatives have claimed the involvment of Maoist cadres in his murder, police haven´t yet made any arrests in this connection. Hamal was beaten to death after being abducted from his house on Friday night.
