JMC director's aide shot at

JANAKPUR, April 16: Motorcycle-borne assailants shot at an aide of Ashok Sinha, director of Janaki Medical College (JMC), on Tuesday afternoon.



Upendra Ojha, 45, of Itarharwa-8, Mahottari was shot at around 2 pm today at Sinha´s residence in Janakpur-4. Ojha is currently receiving treatment at Janakpur Zonal Hospital and reported to be in critical condition.[break]



The attackers, not identified yet,  fled right after the incident. Sinha was lucky not to be at home when the incident occurred. An armed outfit had even planted a bomb at the college hostel few days ago demanding donation.



Thereafter, the Terai Communist Party had been threatening students and officials of the college with attack. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, yet.
