Jeep crash in Dolpa: 9 injured, 3 in critical condition

DOLPA, Oct 25: Nine passengers were injured when a Bolero jeep heading toward Tripursundari Municipality-3 from the district headquarters Dunai met with an accident.

The injured have been identified as Bishnu Shrestha, 38, Ashok Saru Magar, 38, Buddha Bir Lama, 22, Suresh Shrestha, 39, Ramesh Gautam, 38, Sushil Raj Giri, 36, Jeewan Sharma, 31, Kiran Adhikari, 38, and driver Junkosh Shahi.

According to Raju Pandey, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Dolpa, the Bolero jeep (No. 1J975) fell about 15 meters from the road due to steering failure at Bhetti in Thuliverinpa-9. The injured people Bishnu Shrestha, Ashok Saru Magar and Buddha Bir Lama are in critical condition. Others are only slightly injured and all of them have been taken to the District Hospital, Dunai for treatment.
