MAHOTTARI, Nov 21: A vehicle carrying Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel met with an accident at Jaaukha of the district on Monday afternoon.
Mahottari Police Chief SP Janak Bhattarai told Republica Online that leader Poudel is safe and sound.
The jeep, Ba 6 Cha 7555, heading for Jaleshwor from Bardibas met with the accident after the steering of the vehicle went kaput.
“Leader Poudel is safe. He has not received any injuries,” said Bhattarai, “The vehicle has suffered minor damage.”
Following the mishap, Poudel headed for Jaleshwor in another vehicle. He is scheduled to address a cadres’ meet at the district headquarters.
