KATHMANDU, Dec 26: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) is staging a nation-wide protest against the dissolution of parliament by Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli on Saturday.
Stating that the dissolution of the House of Representative (HoR) is unconstitutional, JSP is staging protests and demonstrations in the headquarters of all 77 districts and other places.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari dissolved parliament and announced midterm elections last Sunday at the recommendation of PM Oli.
Following that move, protests and demonstrations have erupted across the country.
A faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal also staged a demonstration against the dissolution of parliament at Maitighar, Kathmandu on Friday.
