KATHMANDU, July 14: A member of the special parliamentary investigation committee formed to find out the truth in the former finance minister Janardan Sharma case has been changed.

In a meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, the proposal by Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota to replace Pushpa Bhusal, a member of the special parliamentary investigation committee, with Man Bahadur Bishwakarma, was approved. Now Bishwakarma will remain in the committee instead of MP Bhusal on behalf of the Nepali Congress.

Nepali Congress MP Bhusal on Thursday (today) registered her candidature for the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. A special parliamentary committee was formed to investigate Finance Minister Janardan Sharma's alleged role in involving ‘outsiders’ to revise tax rates in the course of the preparation of the annual budget for the fiscal year 2022/23.
