Janamorcha cadres on Sunday night had attacked and injured UML Baglung district member Balika KC, her mother Parbati Jaisi, father Purna KC and her nephew Jeevan KC at their home at Dhullubaskot in Baglung, said secretary of constituency no 2 election mobilization committee Bhupal Chalise. [break]
The Janamorcha launched organized assault when a programme was set to welcome new entrants to CPN-UML, said the UML sources.
The injured are being treated at local health post.
Meanwhile, a jeep that the Nepali Congress (NC) Baglung used for election publicity had met with accident at Dhamja-2 on Monday.
The jeep (Ga 1 Ja 2466) had met with the accident after brakes fail, said NC, Baglung Constituency No.1 sources.
The NC cadres were on the way to join the door-to-door visit programme at Dhamja VDC today.
After primary treatment at Dhaulagiri Zonal Hosptial, Baglung, the injured cadres including regional vice-president Chandra Prakash Sapkota, regional member Yamdutta Kandel, Pashupati Sapkota, NC Dhamja VDC Secretary Ram Narayan Nihure were taken to Pokhara for further treatment.
