RAUTAHAT, Oct 4: More than six VDCs in Rautahat are under the attack by jackals and more than three dozen people have been injured after being bitten by jackals in two days.


In a locality situated at the west side of Garuda Area Police office one jackal has bitten nine people on Monday evening. A local Purshottam Mishra said that a jackal had bitten five people at Jingadiya. A teacher Mahindar Pandit also added that another jackal had bitten seven people the same evening. And a pack of jackals had attacked eight people on the same day at the Gaur-Chandrapur road section.

On Tuesday morning, the jackal had bitten half a dozen people at different villages. A total of 18 people had been injured by jackal attack at Mahammadapur, Pachrukhi and Pipariya Pokhariya. 


The injured are being treated at various local hospitals at the village and a few of them are also referred to Kathmandu hospitals as informed by District Police Office at Rautahat.
