Who is right, who is wrong on Nepal-India battle of maps?

Last month the State Affairs Committee had asked the government to update the political map of Nepal by including Limpiyadhura after the Indian government released a new political map by including Kalapani and Lipulekh areas inside India in November first week. Two weeks ago the International Relations Committee also asked the government to issue the new political map of country by including Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipulekh inside the Nepali territory.

Although the State Directive Principles Committee had summoned ministers and officials to inquire about the same issue, the committee could not take any decision after Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali and Land Management Minister Padma Aryal snubbed the summons.

The committee grilled Gyawali, Aryal, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and Forest Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet over the border security coordination issue on Tuesday. The meeting also directed the government to establish all-weather security camps along Nepal-India border and distribute integrated service to the Nepali citizens residing in Kalapani, Lipulekh, Susta and other bordering villages facing encroachment.
