KATHMANDU, Oct 22: The Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Hanan Godar has said that the search for Nepali student Bipin Joshi, who is currently being held by the Palestinian extremist group Hamas, is ongoing. He called for the release of captured citizens, including Joshi, who are under the control of Hamas.

"We do not know where Joshi, who was captured by Hamas, is. We are continuing the search for Joshi," Ambassador Godar said while talking to reporters in Kathmandu today, "We want to make it clear that he is not associated with any conflict. We are urging the international community to help locate him, and we have also called on the terrorists to release all the hostages, including him."

On October 7, an attack by Hamas in Israel resulted in the tragic deaths of 10 Nepali students, and Bipin Joshi remains missing. Out of the 10 individuals who lost their lives, four bodies were brought back to Nepal today. Additionally, Dhan Bahadur Chaudhary, who managed to survive the attack, has also been brought to Kathmandu today.

After paying their respects to the deceased Nepali students at Tribhuvan International Airport on Sunday morning, Ambassador Godar informed reporters that another body would arrive in Nepal in two days.

He mentioned, "There are 1,400 deceased individuals in Israel, and we are currently in the process of identifying one of the bodies. Not all Nepali bodies have been identified yet. Four bodies arrived today, and another body will be arriving in two days. The process of identifying the bodies of five more people is still ongoing."

Stating that Hamas is creating terrible terror in Israel, he said that children and Nepali students are also being targeted.

He said that they are treating Nepalis as members of their own family in this time of crisis. "We are with you, you are our family and always will be," he said.
