Leading ISPs like Subisu, Vianet, WorldLink, Classic Tech and WebSurfer, among others, have come up with special offers to attract customers. Subisu, the title sponsor of the event, has launched 'Grand Offer' under which the company has launched three offers on its home-based services -- Clear TV, Cable, and FTTH Internet services. Clear TV Offer, Cable Internet and Clear TV Combo Offer and FTTH Internet and Clear TV Combo Offer are the three offers launched by the company. Customers will get Clear TV Set-Top Box free under Clear TV Offer. Similarly, they will get Cable Modem and Clear TV Set-Top Box free under Cable Internet & Clear TV Combo Offer. Likewise, the company is giving Clear TV Set-Top Box, Fiber Modem and TV Receiver free under FTTH Internet & Clear TV Combo Offer. The packages are priced between Rs 3,999 and Rs 9,999," according to the company.
Another ISP, Vianet, has also launched attractive offer at the Info-Tech. Aziz Shrestha, manager-marketing and promotions of Vianet, said that the company has introduced Fiber Home Rush package under which customers can get 10 Mbps Internet with 80 GB data at Rs 4,999 per month. Customers subscribing the package will get ONU device and FTTH cable as well as installation free of cost.
"Customers can also control the data usage and store their data whenever they required the most so that they don't have to fall back at a very slow speed," said Shrestha.
Similarly, customers can get 1,920 GB data for a year at Rs 23,000.
WebSurfer is giving double data on data volume plans, up to two months bonus on unlimited plan, 100 percent discount on installation charges for annual subscription, and cash discount of 10 percent. Dinesh Karki of WebSurfer said that the company will also provide 50 percent off on installation charge on advance payment of half-yearly fee.
WebSurfer has also introduced home Internet package starting Rs 495 per month. It is waiving off installation charge worth Rs 3,000 on annual subscription.
Classic Tech has launched FTTH package of 15 Mbps with 30 GB data at Rs 999 exclusive of VAT. The company is also offering 15 percent off on its unlimited package of 512 kbps and 777 kbps. The package is available at Rs 15,300 and Rs 17,340 respectively with free router and installation charge on annual subscription, according to the company.
"We have also launched an interesting offer named 'Refer 3, Get Free' under which customers of Classic Tech referring our service to three friends will get Internet worth Rs 1,500 for him/herself and worth Rs 500 each for all three friends," Prabin Shrestha, marketing manager of Classic Tech, said.
Likewise, WorldLink is tripling its data volume and waiving off installation charge on annual subscription. It is also providing discount on fiber router. Riju Shakya, marketing coordinator of WorldLink, said that they were also offering 10 percent cash discount and different computer accessories for customers who subscriber their Internet products at the Info-Tech.
Market share of broadband Internet service providers stood at a meager 1.09 percent as at mid October 2015 compared to 3 percent in mid-October 2010, according to Management Information System (MIS) report of NTA.
