BARA, Oct 30: Police investigations have revealed that an unknown group riding a motorcycle with Indian number plate shot at Rupesh Saraf, a school principal in Kalaiya, on Monday.
Rupesh Saraf, director and principal of Bal Ekta English Boarding School in Kalaiya, was critically injured in the shooting on Monday. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries sustained from the gunshots, during treatment at Nepal Medicity Vayodha Hospital in Birgunj, as confirmed by Parsa Superintendent of Police (SP) Komal Shah.

Bara Superintendent of Police Suresh Kafle said that the preliminary investigation revealed that two people from an unknown group who fired the shots - two rounds into the neck and one round into the chest - may have fled towards Kalaiya Bazar.
“Surveillance has been increased to prevent them from escaping from Nepal. We are checking various CCTV camera footage in tha Kalaiya area,'' Shah said.
Saraf, who was killed in the shooting, also ran a gold and silver jewelry shop in Kalaiya.
