KATHMANDU, Nov 9: Nepali national table tennis player Selisha Khagdi passed away at the age of 30.
The President of All Nepal Table Tennis Association, Chaturananda Raj Baidhya, confirmed to Republica that Khagdi had been battling stomach cancer for more than 6 years and passed away on Friday. Her final rites were performed in Kirtipur on Friday evening.

President Baidhya stated that Khagdi remained in New Delhi for an extended period for treatment, but unfortunately, she could not survive. He remembered her as one of the best and most disciplined players.
Khagdi participated in the Asian Table Tennis Championship in Pattaya, Thailand, in 2015, as well as the 12th South Asian Games in India in 2016.
Similarly, she won a bronze medal for Nepal in the 2009 OAGC South Asian Junior Table Tennis Championship in Jaipur, India.
