CHITWAN, March 8: An international conference of chemical scientists is taking place in Sauraha from today.
The conference will bring together as many as 100 scientists from 20 countries.
The conference is jointly organised by Nepal Chemical Society and the Birendra Multiple Campus, Bharatpur.
The conference has been organised with the objective of exchanging knowledge and findings of research on chemical science, Society president Amar Prasad Yadav said.
According to him, the conference will also discuss the level of researches carried out in Nepal compared to the international research standards.
The main theme of the conference is 'Chemistry for Sustainable Development.' The conference will last for three days. The 100 foreign scientists would be joined by as many scientists from Nepal. As many as 170 working papers will be discussed in the conference, the organisers said.
