KATHMANDU, July 22: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has said the management of the country's internal security affairs is challenging.
Speaking at the concluding session of training organized on Monday in the capital by the Nepal Police Headquarters, National Police Academy, Maharajgunj, the Home Minister said the development of the Nepal Police organizational structure in the federal system was in the offing and further strengthening the nation's security by consolidating relations with the state governments was the need of the hour.

"The government is working to make the Nepal Police as a strengthened and technology-enriched institution," he said, underlining the need for reliable security provision to meet the vision of ' prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali'.
He took time to praise the Nepal Police for its noticeable works despite limited resources, pledging the support to further increase the organizational capacity of Nepal Police. He highlighted the need for a sound security system to make the Nepal Visit Year successful. Inspector General of Nepal Police, Sarbendra Khanal, expressed his hope that training would assist in enriching strategic skills and expanding the vision and the horizon of knowledge for social planning, management, and improvements. Deputy Inspectors General of Police and Senior Superintendents of Police attended training.
