KATHMANDU, Oct 2: Chairman of Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (MPRF) Upendra Yadav on Sunday said integration of 10,000 Madhesis in the Nepal Army (NA) would not be enough. He also said the four-point deal reached between the UCPN (Maoist) and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) prior to the formation of the current government is against Madhes.

Speaking to media persons in Janakpur, Yadav said, "Integrating 10,000 Madhesis in the Nepal Army would not be enough. At a time when Madhesis are struggling for a dignified representation in all the state bodies, the attempt for bulk integration is objectionable."[break]

Yadav said the problems of Madhes won´t be solved only by including 10,000 Madhesis in the army.

Claiming that Madhesis have never worked against national integrity, Yadav accused Defense Minister Sarat Singh Bhadari of seeking cheap popularity and more votes from the Madhesi community through his recent statement.
