JAJARKOT, May 10: An oxygen plant that was brought by the Health Service Office, Dolpa two weeks ago is yet to be installed.
Office officiating Chief Amar Singh Shahi said the plant was procured to manage medical oxygen for COVID-19 patients in the district and it has so far remained unused in the absence of biomedical engineers to install the equipment. The plant was purchased from the Dragon Meditech Pvt Ltd, Surkhet for Rs 2.9 million. The company stated that the installation has been delayed as it has just two biomedical engineers who are currently busy in other places.
The plant has a capacity of producing 40 liters of oxygen per hour and can oxygen to at least 25-30 beds at once.
