Inspector assaults constable in Nagdhunga, probe committee formed

A three-member committee led by SP Padam Bahadur Bista has been formed. The committee includes a DSP from the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office and an inspector from the Kathmandu District Police Range.

KATHMANDU, May 14: The Kathmandu Valley Police Office has formed a probe committee after a traffic police inspector was seen assaulting a constable in Nagdhunga.


A three-member committee led by SP Padam Bahadur Bista has been formed. The committee includes a DSP from the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office and an inspector from the Kathmandu District Police Range.

A video showing Inspector Jitendra Sah beating Constable Madan Raj Khadka on the roadside in Nagdhunga went viral on social media on Wednesday.


Both Sah and Khadka, who were stationed at the Nagdhunga Traffic Police Unit, have been removed from their duties. Inspector Sah reportedly admitted to beating Khadka after finding him accepting money from a truck driver.
