KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Five leaders including industrialist Binod Chaudhary have been elected as Nepali Congress (NC) Central Working Committee members under Madhesi cluster.
During the vote counting of NC's 14th General Convention that concluded on Tuesday, Ajaya Chaurasiya was elected as CWC member with popular votes. He secured a total of 2522 votes.

Similarly, industrialist Chaudhary secured 2206 votes, Chandra Mohan Yadav 2,138 votes, Mahendra Kumar Roy 1,984 votes and Dinesh Yadav 1,959 votes.
While Chaurasiya, Chaudhary and Roy and Dinesh Yadav are close to the party's establishment faction, Chandra Mohan Yadav, who is the son of former President of Nepal, Dr Ram Baran Yadav, is close to the Dr Shekhar Koirala-led faction in the party.
