Indian PM Modi arrives in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, May 11: Indian Prime Minister Narendra has arrived in Kathmandu on a two-day state visit to Nepal.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyanwali welcomed PM Modi at Tribhuvan International Airport on Friday.

After receiving civil felicitation PM Modi has left Janakpur for Kathmandu on Friday. He will be conferred guard of honor at Nepal Army stage, Tudikhel today. After that, he will reside at Hotel Hayat.

He will be also offered a civic felicitation by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Modi will meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari and vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun today itself.

On today evening Modi will meet Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at Dwarikaj Hotel.  After meeting, both the PM will inaugurate the most awaiting national pride project Arun-III. 

During his stay in Kathmandu, the Indian Prime Minister is scheduled to engage in high-level talks and will leave for Mustang on Saturday afternoon to pay homage to the Muktinath where he will perform special puja at the temple of Muktinath. 

Earlier this morning, he landed in Janakpur Airport via the Air India's special aircraft at 10:45 am.
