According to Inspector Prakash Sapkota, at district police office, they nabbed Niranjan Paul of Western Bengal, India, with the gold while he was heading to Baglung district headquarters, via a taxi from Pokhara.[break]
Police arrested Paul on suspicion of smuggled gold as he was carrying the large amount of gold without bill said DSP Surendra Bhadur Gurung. Law prohibits anyone to carry such a large amount of gold without valid bill.
