During the meeting held at the Office of the Election Commission (EC) at Bahadur Bhawan, in the Capital, Singh enquired about the preparations for the election to the second Constituent Assembly (CA) slated for November 19. [break]
On the occasion, Upreti informed that the EC has so far moved ahead as per the election schedule and added that they are committed to holding the CA election on the fixed date.
Suggesting that it would be suitable to hold election with the participation of all, the Indian Foreign Secretary expressed the commitment that India was ready to provide necessary support for the election, said Election Commissioner Dr Ram Bhakta PB Thakur quoting Singh.
