KATHMANDU, May 9: Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today.
During the meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar, Ambassador Srivastava briefed PM Oli about the recent developments and tensions between India and Pakistan following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India, on April 22.

He clarified that while India had taken retaliatory action at the site of the attack, the reports claiming a jet strike were not true. According to the PM's Secretariat, Ambassador Srivastava also expressed his gratitude for the statement issued by the Government of Nepal on Thursday regarding the incident.
On the occasion, PM Oli stated that Nepal stands firmly in favor of global peace and, in line with its strong stance against all forms of terrorism, condemned the terrorist attack. He made it clear that Nepal will not allow any warring force to use its territory against its neighboring countries.
