KATHMANDU, Aug 20: The Embassy of India in Kathmandu has decided to purchase 125 vehicles. Issuing a notice on Tuesday, the embassy announced a call for tenders for the procurement of 40 ambulances and 85 school buses.
The embassy said that interested companies can submit their applications till September 9.
India gifts 36 ambulances, six buses and books to 51 libraries
The embassy plans to purchase five advanced life support ambulances. Additionally, tenders have been issued for the procurement of 35 basic life support ambulances and 85 school buses with 33 seats each.
It is mentioned in the notice that interested companies applying for life support ambulances should deposit 426,000 Indian rupees as a ‘security’, 2.3 million Indian rupees for basic life support ambulances and 4.6 million Indian rupees for school buses.
Every year, the embassy has been supporting various health and educational institutions in Nepal by providing ambulances and buses.
