Sarlahi, June 13: The Indian government has collected the dead body of 27 years old Bikesh Kumar Rai from no man’s land in Sarlahi district early Saturday morning.
In a clash between Nepal’s Armed Police Force and Indian nationals at the Nayanapur Border Point, Rai was killed and four others were injured on Friday Morning. The injured are said to be undergoing treatment in India.
Sarlahi growing as a transit point for drug trafficking
Local governments, Nepali security personnels and Indian security forces came to an agreement early this morning. APF agreed to free 45 years old Nawal Kishwor Rai(Lalan) who was in custody after he tried to seize the weapons of APF. The APF released him and handed him over to the Indian Security Forces at the no man’s land at the Nayanapur Border Point.
Both security personnels of Nepal and India had spent the night at the incident site. Locals and representatives of the government were also among them.
Early at 5 in the morning, both parties (Nepal-India) reached the agreement. “We have released the Indian-ntionals we had arrested and the dead body has also been handed over,” said the Chief District Officer Mohan Bahadur GC.
