NEW DELHI, Feb 26 : An Indian air strike in Pakistani territory killed 300 suspected militants, a senior Indian government source said on Tuesday.

The strikes on a training camp run by a Pakistani-based militant group have dramatically escalated tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors, who have fought three wars against each other.

Indian Air Force (IAF) jets crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and destroyed terror camps in Pakistan, sources said. The air strike was carried out in Balakote sector at 3.30 am. It is believed IAF used laser-guided bombs in the air strike that lasted for 21 minutes.

Balakot, Chakothi and Muzaffarabad terror launch pads across the LOC were completely destroyed in the IAF air strikes. Jaish control rooms were also destroyed during the air strike.
