Independent Chaudhary wins HoR seat from Bardiya 2

BARDIYA, Nov 24: Independent candidate Lalbir Chaudhary was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Bardiya 2. 

He garnered 26,520 votes while his closest contender CPN (Maoist Center)'s Suresh Pantha from the ruling alliance got 26,384 votes. Out of the total 92,199 votes cast, 5,387 votes were declared invalid, said the Election Office, Bardiya.
