Human chain formed against amendment bill
PALPA, Dec 10: The Indefinite shut down in the district in place for the last 11 days has been called off from Saturday.
The Joint Struggle Committee decided to postpone the strike saying that the people faced hardship due to the indefinite strike.
CPN-UML Palpa District Chairman Narayan Acharya said that other forms of protest will continue. “Protest will continue unless the constitution amendment bill is withdrawn,” he said.
Meanwhile, a human chain was formed in the presence of leaders of political parties, civil society members and businessmen among others. The human chain was formed at Tansen, the district headquarters, for an hour.
