All roads in Gaur have been waterlogged and movement of people and vehicles has been lessened following the downpour. [break]
Locals said Gaur has been besieged with water due to no way to release the water.
According to Chairman of local Civil Society Jagannath Prasad Kesari, Gaur has been inundated when the Indian government constructed dams to block the outlet of water flowing towards India through Gaur for the past hundreds of year.
Short supply of daily essentials has been witnessed in markets with vehicular movements bringing into a complete halt following the inundation, said Lal Babu Chaudhary, a local.
District Secretary of UCPN (Maoist) Uprendra Saha requested to the authority concerned to make necessary arrangement for relief and daily essential goods in Gaur at the earliest.
