IN PICTURES: Chitwan gets ready for UML General Convention

CHITWAN, Nov 25: As the 10th General Convention of the CPN-UML is scheduled to be held on Friday, leaders and cadres of the party have started arriving in Chitwan. The inauguration site on the Narayani River bank has been readied for the general convention.

Gates have been constructed for welcoming the participants, banners have been hung. UML flags have been hoisted at the major thoroughfares and chowks. Party flags are hung on both sides of the road from the Bharatpur Airport to the Narayani River. With the arrival of cadres and leaders, the number of vehicles on the roads has also increased. Police personnel in significant numbers have been deployed for traffic management.

Displays have been set up at various places along the Narayani River bank. UML leader Sher Bahadur Tamang said that all the preparations for the stage management were in the final stage.
