KATHMANDU, April 29: Two-week long prohibitory orders enforced by the government in the Valley to curb the further spread of COVID-19 have come into effect from Thursday morning.
Security personnel are strictly monitoring check-points, chowks and highways to implement the prohibitory orders.
The prohibitory order came into force starting 6 AM on April 29 and will end on May 12 midnight as per the decision made by a joint meeting of the CDOs of three districts in the Valley.
Only essential services will operate, and most of the services will remain shut until the prohibitory order is lifted.
