IME's support to quake victims

KATHMANDU, May 6: IME Ltd has launched a relief mission to provide relief material to districts devastated by the earthquake of April 25. Issuing a statement on Wednesday, the remittance company said it has donated 8,400 kg rice, 500 blankets, 100 carton noodles, torch lights and other relief material to the quake-hit people of Majhigaun VDC in Sindupalchowk.

IME's Executive Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal and Executive Director Hem Raj Dhakal were present in the distribution program. According to the statement, the team also distributed 2,600 kg rice, 300 blankets and other relief material including noodles and torch light to earthquake victims of Shikharpur VDC.


The company also said that it has separately set up a relief fund in the name of 'IME Earthquake Relief Fund' under IME Foundation in which IME co-founders Chandra Prasad Dhakal and Hem Raj Dhakal have donated Rs 20 million.
