KATHMANDU, Feb 1: There was a dispute between MP Amrit lal Rajbanshi and MP Amrita Agrahari on the issue of landlessness. In the meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, the two MPs quarreled.
In the zero hour of the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, MP Agrahari took a dig at the issue of giving land to the landless, after MP Rajbanshi raised the matter.
MP Rajbanshi said, "That landless commission should be resumed immediately. The process of giving land to landless people should be done as soon as possible.”
MP Agrahari, who spoke after Rajbanshi, objected to his statement and said, "This House of Representatives is the place of representatives of the people. This is not a place to ask for a share of property. If you want to ask for a share, go to Baluwatar. This is a place of national concern. So talk about it.”
Rajbanshi, who spoke before Agrahari, questioned where the preparation of KP Oli of distributing land to 240,000 squatter families through the National Land Commission had reached.
“Where has it reached now? It has also been included in the current minimum common program of the coalition government, " he said.
