IED found in passenger bus

SINDHUPALCHOWK, June 1: An improvised explosive device (IED) was found in a passenger bus stationed at the Lisankhu Bus Park of south-east Sindhupalchowk on Tuesday morning.



The bomb was found hung in the chassis of the bus of registration plate Ba 2 Kha 1110 along with pamphlets with a name of Joint Ethnic Front Nepal – a never-heard before organization, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ajay Bhattarai.[break]



Police has taken control of the area. The pamphlets with a heading – Appeal for People’s Revolt, have 35 bulleted contents.



Police added that the IED could have been planted on Monday night. Locals informed police about the IED early in the morning.



According to Bhattarai, the police is co-ordinating with the army to dispose the IED.
