During the meeting held at the Rastrapati Bhawan, Sheetal Niwas this evening, matters relating to efforts being made to include the dissenting political parties in the electoral process and the government´s initiative to promote atmosphere conducive to elections were discussed, according to Chairman Regmi´s press advisor Bimal Gautam.[break]
On the occasion, President Dr Yadav lauded the efforts and initiatives being made for the upcoming elections and suggested Chairman Regmi to continue the good work.
Chairman Regmi assured the President that the government would focus on resolving the issue through the medium of dialogue with the CPN-Maoist and other parties against the proposed election.
He also expressed the confidence that the dissenting parties would consider the latest call made by the government for a dialogue on June 28 seriously.
On the occasion, Chairman Regmi also inquired about the President´s health condition since his recent trip to Japan for medical check-up, and expressed satisfaction to learn of the normal state of his health, added press advisor Gautam.
