KATHMANDU, April 30: Minister for Defence, Ishwor Pokharel, has today unveiled the idol of Buddha at Pasikot in Budhanilkantha, on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti. 

On the occasion, Minister Pokharel said, "You have presented an example that development activities could be forwarded making people organised by constructing the idol of Buddha." 
He said that no one has to wait direction of the government to carry out good activities and such works should get continuity. 

Saying the government has focused its attention in economic development, prosperity and good governance, the Defence Minister said that development activities and planning would be determined as per the provisions of the Constitution.
