KOHALPUR, June 26: An aircraft of Buddha Air suffered a bird hit on a taxiway at the Nepalgunj Airport on Sunday.
The aircraft that landed at the airport from Kathmandu suffered the bird hit at its wing while heading to parking yard. All the passengers and crew members are said to be safe.
Nepalgunj Station Chief of Buddha Air, Binit Shah told Republica Online that the aircraft with a call sign 9N-AJX is grounded after the incident at around 9:05 am this morning.
He added that a technical team is assessing if damages have been incurred to the aircraft’s engine.
Some 72 passengers heading to Kathmandu have been left in the lurch after the aircraft was grounded.
