IAPP chair Dhakal pays courtesy call  on Bangladeshi Prez

DHAKA, April 2: Chairperson of International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace of Asia Pacific Region (IAPP) and former minister EK Nath Dhakal paid a courtesy call on President of Bangladesh  Mohammed Abdul Hamid at the presidential palace.

DHAKA, April 2: Chairperson of International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace (IAPP)-Asia Pacific Region and former minister EK Nath Dhakal paid a courtesy call on President of Bangladesh  Mohammed Abdul Hamid at the presidential palace.


During the meeting, chair Dhakal presented the Kathmandu Declaration of recently concluded Asia Pacific Summit-2018 to President Hamid, informed Tika BK, a close aide of Dhakal. In his response, President Hamid congratulated the organizers for successfully organizing the summit stating that the summit has become the milestone for the unity and peace in the world.

During the 45-minute long meeting, Bangladeshi head of state congratulated Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the Nepali people for effectively organizing three international summits including BIMSTEC, Asia Pacific Summit and Investment Summit consecutive.


Parliamentarians and officials from the Bangladeshi government and representatives from IAPP-Bangladesh were present during the meeting.
